Recent North Putnam graduates (from left) Jordan Berry, Kyle Rooker and J.T. Francies will be playing in an upcoming Indiana East-West All-Star Game at Hartford City. The three Cougars will be playing on a team of class 1A and 2A players at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26. To the Editor: I would like to say thank you to several groups and individuals. First off, thank you to our lifeguards, snack shack, full-time and part-time employees of the parks and recreation department. Keep up your good work. Also, thanks to WW2 11th Army Airborne vet Charles Evans, Brad Tucker Insurance, Hays, Murphy, Sharp Insurance, Elks Lodge and Wal-Mart Transportation for your donations to put the new flag pole in Robe-Ann park; to Snowy Pines nursery for the nearly 100 flowers that were planted in the triangle in the park; and to Vicki Evans for planting all the new flowers that are in the park.. ...
