Eagle swimmers battle Chargers

Monday evening the Eagles swim teams hosted North Montgomery. The South Putnam boys lost to the Chargers by a mere two points, 93-91. The girls also lost to North Montgomery with a score of 113-59. Contributing to this loss was the depth the Chargers held over the Eagles. Coatesville man sentenced for child seduction

A Coatesville man was given a suspended sentence in Putnam County Circuit Court Monday on a Class D felony charge of child seduction. Roy K. Buchanan, 68, will spend 18 months on probation. Buchanan and his lawyer, Darrell Felling, requested that the charge be reduced to a Class A misdemeanor. Judge Matthew Headley denied the request, at least for the time being...

Bainbridge insurance agent loses license

BAINBRIDGE -- After a five-month investigation, Indiana Commissioner of Insurance James Atterholt has permanently revoked the license of a Bainbridge insurance agent. The Indiana Department of Insurance suspended the license of Bradley K. Buchanan, owner of Bright & Williamson Insurance Services II Inc., which did business as Buck Insurance Services, on Sept. 11. Water boil lifted for Cloverdale

CLOVERDALE -- The boil order has been lifted as of 3 p.m. today. Cloverdale residents have been placed under a boil under since a water main break Saturday afternoon. A cracked pipe on Robert Weist Avenue near the corner of Lincoln Street caused the water pressure to dip below IDEM requirements. It also left some residents with no water for a while...
