NEW MARKET - After falling behind early, North Putnam made a strong third-quarter comeback to trail No. 7-ranked Parke Heritage by one point entering the final period on Saturday night in the Southmont Sectional championship game. The Wolves were able to hold off the charge of the Cougars, and were flawless down the stretch at the free throw line to record a 61-49 win. Mason Brooks of North Putnam led all scorers with 28 points, and was the only Cougar in double figures.
