Bryan Scott Steele

Bryan Scott Steele, 61, of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday afternoon, July 1, 2024 at Witham Health Services.

Bryan worked at R.R. Donnelley for 23 years. He graduated from North Putnam High School and got a certification through Ivy Tech in Terre Haute.

He was an outdoorsman who liked fishing and shooting at the gun range. He also enjoyed working on engines and family get-togethers.

Born Dec. 4, 1962 in Greencastle, he was the son of Ed Steele and Gail Crodian Steele. He married Peggy McDonald. She survives.

Surviving family includes wife Peggy Steele of Crawfordsville; daughter Brittany Steele of Crawfordsville; son Jonathan Addler (Shea) of Cloverdale; sister Donna Williams (Jerry) of Greencastle; brother Mike Steele (Rhonda) of Heritage Lake; three grandchildren, Jaylinn, Sloan and Alaina; several nieces and nephews; along with his two “fur babies,” Kai and Myla.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Gary Steele and Edgar Steele Jr., along with sister-in-law Lynne Steele.

The Steele family wishes to acknowledge the staff at Witham Health Services in Lebanon for the wonderful care and kindness shown in this difficult time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Details will be announced as they become available.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
