Phillip Allan King, 82, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Born Feb. 28, 1942 in Greencastle, he was the son of Clarence Robert and Madonna (Alspaugh) King.

He was a 1960 graduate of Sarasota High School.

Phillip worked at Walmart in the sporting goods department after his retirement from IBM, where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a member of the IBM gun club and IBM bowling league, having proudly bowled a 300 game.

He was an avid IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, bowling, woodworking and crafts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Colleen (Edwin) Cook and Marilyn (Bobby Wayne) Arnold.

Phillip is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Donald) Torrence; son Josh (Kari) King; sister Bobbie Jean Arnold; grandchildren Christopher (Anna) Torrence, Amanda (Steve) Marshall and Holden (Makenzie) King; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
