Dine with a Doc set Monday at PCH

The monthly Dine with a Doc presentation at Putnam County Hospital will feature the director of emergency room services this Monday.

Registered nurse Jennifer Balka will be the speaker at the event that takes place on the fourth Monday of each month from 10 a.m.-noon at PCH.

Balka is has more than 14 years of work experience in the healthcare industry, with a background in nursing, clinical research and patient safety. She has worked with various healthcare organizations, including Putnam County Hospital, Pain Management Group, Hendricks Regional Health, DePauw University, St.Vincent Health and the Indiana Health System.

Balka has a broad understanding of patient safety and public speaking. Her topic will be stroke awareness.

Presented by Senior Education Ministries in conjunction with PCH, Dine with a Doc is a free community-based program that welcomes local seniors to hear an educational topic while enjoying a complimentary lunch.
