County Jail

Eleven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 11:09 p.m. Dakota Savage, 33, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated endangering a person and driving while intoxicated.

• At 10:07 p.m. William Turner Jr., 63, Martinsville, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se.

• At 3:31 p.m. Raymond Hines, 37, Martinsville, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of paraphernalia and possession of stolen property.

• At 2:55 p.m. Aron Monnett, 40, Cloverdale, was booked in for probation violation.

• At 4:16 a.m. Fount Brock, 43, Reelsville, was lodged at the jail for criminal recklessness.

Tuesday

• At 11:06 p.m. Joshua Smith, 41, Crawfordsville, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 6:28 p.m. Pamela Scott, 49, Russellville, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 2:16 p.m. Carol Anderson, 47, Poland, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 1:58 a.m. Daniel Chasteen, 51, Plainfield, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 1:01 a.m. Rebecca Phillips, 31, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

Monday

• At 12:45 p.m. Joseph Tiedemann, 40, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

City Police

One recent traffic citation was issued by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 2 a.m. Tuesday, semi driver Gustavo Oyarzabal-Epsinoza, 27, Plainfield, driving a Freightliner out of Oklahoma, was ticketed by Officer Damon Ludwig.

Stopped at Washington and Bloomington streets, Oyarzabal-Epsinoza was cited for disregarding an official traffic control device.

City Fire

Greencastle firefighters responded to several recent dispatches.

• At 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to an alarm at 418 Anderson St. They found it was due to cooking then reset the alarm and cleared the scene at 7:30 p.m.

• At 1:01 p.m. on Wednesday, crews investigated an alarm at Montgomery Hall, 420 Anderson St. The discovered it was due to cooking, reset the alarm and left the scene at 1:13 p.m.

• At 11:08 a.m. on Wednesday, firefighters investigated an alarm at the apartment building at 330 Greenwood Ave. Upon investigation, they could not discover a cause. They reset the alarm and returned to service at 11:23 a.m.

• At 11:51 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD investigated an alarm at DePauw housing at 412 S. Jackson St. Firefighters could not determine a cause. They reset the system and returned to service at 11:59 p.m.

• At 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, crews were called to Kappa Kappa Gamma, 507 S. Locust St. Their investigation did not reveal a cause of the alarm. They reset the alarm and returned to service at 8:41 p.m.

• At 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, firefighters responded to an alarm DePauw housing at 109 W. Hanna St. The alarm was due to cooking. Crews reset the alarm and left the scene at 6:44 p.m.

• At 2:36 p.m. GFD was called to North Jackson and Columbia streets to clean up debris from a motor vehicle crash. Crews returned to service at 3:02 p.m. after clearing the road.

• At 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday, crews conducted an odor investigation at Marathon Gas at 405 N. Jackson St. They monitored the business an could not find anything hazardous. They returned to service at 10:37 a.m.

GFD also responded to seven medical calls and was twice disregarded en route to other dispatches.
