County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 11:35 a.m. Dionte Dopson, 23, Indianapolis, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

Tuesday

• At 10:48 p.m. Sean Thom, 51, Rosedale, was housed at the jail for trafficking with an inmate and official misconduct.

• At 2:56 p.m. Magon Tabor, 32, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 10:25 a.m. Danyon McClure, 41, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for aggravated battery and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

Monday

• At 10:52 a.m. Scotty Wait, 43, Cloverdale, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

Two recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police:

• At 9:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dalton Kisner, 24, Bainbridge, was arrested by Officer Damon Ludwig.

Taken into custody at a Castlebury Apartments residence, Kisner was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of battery.

• At 1:58 p.m. Tuesday, Matthew Kuchler, 54, Fillmore, was arrested by Officer Luke Brown.

Taken into custody at a South Fillmore Road residence, Kuchler was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a charge of invasion of privacy.

One recent summons was issued by city officers:

• At 8:47 a.m. Tuesday, Stacey Northington, 34, Greencastle, was given a summons by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped at Shadowlawn and College avenues, Northington was issued a summons into court for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Two recent citations were issued by city officers:

• At 1:58 p.m. Wednesday, Richard Thomas, 48, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Jared McDaniel.

Stopped at State Road 240 and Capital Drive, Thomas was cited for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

• 4:04 p.m. Monday, Margaret Barger, 45, Greencastle, was ticketed by Capt. Brad Hiatt.

Stopped at East Franklin Street and Paradise Lane, Barger was cited for having an expired license plate (Feb. 14).

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department had several responses from Monday, Oct. 21 through Thursday Oct. 24.

• At 8:17 p.m. Monday, crews were dispatched to a fuel spill at 1709 S. Bloomington St. Crews arrived on scene to find a diesel exhaust fluid spill from a semi that had hit road debris. Crews cleaned up the spill and advised police that the semi would need to be towed. They returned to service at 8:34 p.m.

• At 3:18 p.m. Tuesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 11 N. Indiana St. Upon investigation, crews determined that the alarm panel was in power trouble mode. Crews were able to reset the alarm and returned to service at 3:24 p.m.

• At 11:34 p.m. Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to a field fire at 132 E. Cemetery Rd, Fillmore. GFD was called to assist Fillmore Fire Department with a cornfield fire. Crews assisted in extinguishing the fire and once it was determined out, crews returned to service at 2:41 a.m.

• At 7:16 a.m. Wednesday, crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of N. Jackson St. and C.R. 25 S. A car hit a deer and crews were called to clean up fluid and debris from the roadway. Once the roadway was clear, crews returned to service at 7:50 a.m.
