Imogene Thomas

Imogene Thomas, 94, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Born Sept. 17, 1927 in Clay County, she was the daughter of Roscoe Conklin and Rhema Mae (Taber) Bennett.

Imogene worked at Putnam County Hospital as an assistant dietitian for 20 years. She also worked at the Putnam County Courthouse and the Angwell Curtain Factory.

She attended Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard W. Thomas; and several brothers and sisters.

Imogene is survived by her children, Danny (Melba) Thomas, Gary (Jennifer) Thomas and Peggy S. (David) Cash; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
