Sherry Ann Robinson, wife of William D. “Henry” Robinson, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at their home in Greencastle after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Her strong will kept her with her family and remembering the good times until her last breath.

Sherry was born on Feb. 28, 1961 in Houston, Texas, to Winston A. Sells and Freda C. (Turner) Sells.

She grew up in Channelview, Texas, and attended Channelview High School where she met the love of her life, Henry. Sherry and Henry celebrated 43 years of marriage on July 13, 2022.

Sherry’s husband, children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. You could seldom call Sherry without interrupting a telephone conversation between her and one of her children. She talked to each of them daily. She made sure family get-togethers and holidays were full of fun activities for everyone.

Sherry loved games; trivia, board, card, domino, video or playing along on the Game Show Network. Her preparations for the Christmas holidays began in January; and continued ALL year long. She loved to cook whether it was a full-blown holiday dinner or a quick, thrown together gourmet meal for Henry’s lunch break.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Walker Winston Hamilton.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Robinson; daughter Patricia Hamilton and husband Tom also of Greencastle; son Casey Robinson and wife Katie of Pendleton; and son Blake Robinson and wife Alicia of Pittsboro. She is also survived by grandchildren, Wyatt W. Hamilton, Wade W. Hamilton, Warren W. Hamilton, Lucy A. Robinson, Riggins L. Robinson and Paisley R. Robinson.

Additional surviving family members include brother Larrie Sells and wife Martha, and sisters Carlene Lee and husband Robert, Deborah Ward and husband Jim, Greta Dean and husband John, and Sandra Muldrow and husband Kevin, all of Texas. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 25 at the funeral home.
