Genevieve Bond

Genevieve Bond, 93, passed away Oct. 21, 2022.

Genevieve was born to the late Fred and Ethel (Killion) Lafollette on Dec. 20, 1928, in Brazil.

Genevieve worked as a cook for Reelsville School Corporation as well as South Putnam School Corporation.

Genevieve loved flowers, and truly enjoyed gardening. She was a homemaker for many years. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cebert Bond; siblings Josephine Rader, Sylvia Whitehead, Barb Mostelller, Frank Lafollette, Tom Lafollette and Charlie Lafollette, as well as several half-siblings. Genevieve was also preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Bond.

Genevieve is survived by her children, William Bond (Kathy), Rodney Bond (Rebecca) and Steven Bond; three grandchildren, Bryan Bond, Matthew Bond (Lisa) and Brooke Hertz (John); as well as eight great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25 from noon-1 p.m. at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Ave., Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery.
