Nancy Kay Witty

Nancy Kay Witty, 73, of Bainbridge, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born Dec. 27, 1949, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Baire) Gritton.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School in the class of 1968.

Nancy worked several years in customer service at Kroger in Greencastle, retiring on Jan. 2, 2015. She was also a homemaker and child care provider.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Tommy Witty; and a sister, Gail Gritton.

Nancy is survived by her children, Michael Witty, Scott Witty and companion Nora Moya, Amanda Mahoy and husband Mike and Joey Witty and fiancée Chantal Williams; sister Deborah Alexander and husband Kenneth; grandchildren Steven, Kayla, Sierra, Cole, Ashley, Bryson and Ian; great-grandchildren Hunter and Jameson; and nephew Brandon Moreno.

A celebration-of-life service will be held for Nancy on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bainbridge Community Building, 201 U.S. 36, Bainbridge, IN 46105.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to Riley Children’s Hospital, 500 N. Meridian St., Ste. 100, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
