Barbara Wood

Barbara Wood, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on July 29, 2023 at the age of 74.

She spent most of her working years at First Citizens Bank and through the conversion to Old National Bank for many more. She also worked a few years in the Putnam County Courthouse

She leaves behind her daughter, Traci, son-in-law Bryant Lane and close friends we consider extended family

She was a kind and loving soul with a sense of adventure. She always put other people first and would go to extreme lengths to get things done so others could be happy. She found good in everyone. To know her was to know love

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Frances Lanham Clark, husband David A. Wood, sister-in-law Michelle D. Clark and brother Stephen C. Clark

She will be cremated and interred in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery with her husband of over 50 years, David

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boys Town, Salvation Army or Tunnel to Towers.
