Lane closures to impact U.S. 40 in Clay County

BRAZIL -- Alternating lane closures are coming to U.S. 40 in Clay County, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

Beginning on or after Wednesday, May 15, crews will begin closing one lane at a time, beginning with the westbound lane, between Jackson Street in Brazil, and County Road 200 East in Harmony.

Once work is complete in the westbound lane, crews will switch to the eastbound side.

During the lane closures, preventative maintenance work on the road will be taking place.

Work is expected to last until sometime in the summer but is weather permitting and subject to change.
