RUSSELLVILLE — Isaiah 117 House Putnam County will present a ’50s Sock Hop Party on Saturday, June 1 from 6-9 p.m. at the Russellville Community Center.

Community members are invited to step back into the 1950s in a classic high school gym. DJ Figgy Hardwick will play tunes of the era, while a light supper as well as treats, root beer floats and chocolate sundaes will also be served.

Everyone is welcome to break out their coolest ’50s attire for this family-friendly event.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at https://linktr.ee/isaiah117houseputnam or at the door. Entry is $30 for those age 13 and older, $20 for kids age 6-12 and free for those five years and younger.

All proceeds go to Isaiah 117 House Putnam County.

Isaiah 117 House is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides physical and emotional support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement. Currently, when a child is removed in a county without an Isaiah 117 House, the child must wait in the child welfare services office. The child is often dirty, hungry, tired, scared and unable to bring any personal possessions. Isaiah 117 House allows for that same child to never go to an office, but rather a home with loving volunteers to care for them.

The Russellville Community Center is located at 300 N. Harrison St., Russellville.
