Charlie Johnston Memorial Ride, car show set June 8

FILLMORE ­— The Fillmore Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 11th-annual Charlie Johnston Memorial Ride, as well as a car show, on Saturday, June 8.

Breakfast for a free-will donation will coincide with registration and the start of the car show at 9 a.m. Kickstands for the ride will go up at 11 a.m.

A bloodmobile from Versiti Blood Center of Indiana will also be on hand from 7-11:45 a.m.

The annual ride is made in memory of Charlie Johnston, a member of Fillmore Fire who was killed in a collision in 2013.

Riders and the car show will stage at Fillmore Christian Church, 102 N. Main St. The church is adjacent to the fire department.
