SWITZ CITY — Former Cloverdale superintendent Carrie Milner has temporarily taken over as superintendent of White River Valley Schools.

Milner will take the helm of the Greene County corporation as it searches for a permanent superintendent.

The Greene County Daily World reported that the WRV School Board announced the move following the sudden resignation of former middle school principal Mitch Hobson, who had been slated to take over for longtime Supt. Bob Hacker. Both men have accepted job offers outside the district.

Milner, who remains a Putnam County resident, retired from Cloverdale in 2014 having served nine years as superintendent and three as assistant superintendent.

Since retiring, she has served school systems on an interim basis several times, including just last year at North Putnam.
