County Jail

Six people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 1:49 a.m. Kyle E. McIntosh, 39, Spencer, was booked in for driving while intoxicated.

• At 1:20 a.m. Tristan C. Owen, 36, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for trafficking with an inmate, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday

• At 2:23 p.m. Bart D. Cash, 56, Greencastle, was taken into custody on an out-of-county warrant.

Tuesday

• At 3:31 a.m. David A. Scott, 49, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 3:31 a.m. Samuel J. Weekly, 44, Cloverdale, was booked in on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 10:57 p.m. Frederick Morgan, 76, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for battery.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department reported two incidents between Monday morning and Wednesday evening:

• At 5:12 a.m. on Tuesday, GFD was called for a structure fire at the Marathon gas station on South Jackson Street. Firefighters arrived at 5:21 to a light haze inside the building, after which they determined an issue with worn wires in a cooler. A box alarm was initially called then disregarded. Power was secured to the cooler’s area, while an employee was advised that an electrician be contacted. GFD went back into service at 5:34 a.m.

• At 9:08 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 74 Briarwood Ct. for a gas leak. Firefighters arrived at 9:17 and determined that there was not a leak. GFD went back into service at 9:26 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for seven medical assists during this timeframe.
