County Jail

Five people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 10:59 p.m. Michael A. Anderson, 57, Cloverdale, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 9:12 a.m. Shane R. Kilgore, 47, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

• At 8:22 a.m. Isach M. Osborn, 21, Venice, Fla., was booked in on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 4:41 a.m. David A. Byers, 42, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 10:30 p.m. Jacob C. Muse, 30, Bainbridge, was housed at the jail for domestic battery in the presence of a minor.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 3:4:0 a.m. Tuesday, Kameron M. Byers, 24, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Justin Herd.

Taken into custody outside Moore’s Bar on South Indiana Street, Byers was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of domestic battery and criminal mischief.

One recent citation was issued by city officers:

• At 8:57 p.m. Tuesday, Rebecca Thompson, 44, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Herd.

Stopped along Indianapolis Road, Thompson was cited for having an expired license plate (Nov. 7, 2023).

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department reported three incidents between Monday morning and Thursday morning:

• At 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD was dispatched to Family Medicine of Greencastle for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 2:04 p.m. and were advised by maintenance that the alarm system was already reset. GFD went back into service at 2:08 p.m.

• At 4:43 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle incident at 3214 S. CR 200 West. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 4:53 as there were no injuries or debris and fluid to clean up. GFD went back into service at 5:06 a.m.

• At 3 a.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 815 Tacoma Dr. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 3:09 and did not determine a cause for the alarm. A trouble code was on the alarm panel, and the tenants were advised to contact the landlord about the issue. GFD went back into service at 3:24 a.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for nine medical assists and had one disregard during this timeframe.
