Friday Garage Fire

Cloverdale Township firefighter Stephen Kerr showers hot spots after getting a quick knockdown on a garage fire Friday afternoon. Greencastle Fire personnel assisted with the effort, while Jefferson Township and Cataract volunteers covered Cloverdale Township Fire’s station. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Putnam County EMS were also on scene.

Cloverdale Township Fire Chief Kerry Shepherd and Greencastle Fire Capt. Jason Simonson survey the damage after the overhaul. The fire originated in one of three vehicles that were inside the garage and spread to the attic space. No definite cause for the fire was determined.
