First Friday to offer extension of July 4

After the cookouts and fireworks of the Independence Day holiday, Main Street Greencastle invites the public to continue the celebration into Friday, July 5 with the monthly First Friday event in downtown Greencastle.

Everyone is encouraged to wear their most patriotic gear and celebrate on and around Courthouse Square beginning at 6 p.m.

Event sponsor Aames Title and season sponsor Crown Equipment will help present a lineup that includes three bands, plenty of games and activities and dozens of vendors for food and other products.

Beginning at 7 p.m., Mullet Over will play on the Courthouse Stage, Mona & The Hitchhikers will be on the Moore’s Stage and Josh Gillespie and the Nomad Collective will play the Lost Hollow Stage.

The Putnam County Gaming Initiative will be on the scene with games and activities for all ages.

More than 40 vendors with products and services from freeze dried candies, art, clothing and a variety of services.

There will be food vendors like Hogg Wild BBQ, Wally’s, Almost Home, the Mixed Plate and others. Zo-Bots Soda and Fries will also be on hand with craft sodas and loaded fries

There will also be all of the Greencastle favorites around and just off the square as well such as The Whisk, Lost Hollow, Bridges, Marvin’s, Taco Wapo and others.

Make sure to check out all of the shops and businesses all around downtown Greencastle. First Friday is to celebrate the entire community.
