County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail.

Monday

• At 3:25 a.m. John J. Long, 40, Pittsboro, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

Sunday

• At 1:19 p.m. Christopher L. Pittman, 52, Greencastle, was booked in for intimidation.

Saturday

• At 8:10 p.m. Christopher W. Yates, 45, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for possession of cocaine.

• At 3:56 p.m. Harold D. Williams, 71, Roachdale, was taken into custody for invasion of privacy.

Friday

• At 11:40 p.m. Rachel R. Warner, 24, Spencer, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 11:02 p.m. Haley D. Frazier, 30, Ladoga, was booked in for domestic battery.

Thursday

• At 9:34 a.m. Cecil R. Johnson, 54, Marion, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department reported three incidents between last Wednesday evening and Monday morning:

• At 5:31 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to DePauw University’s Health Wellness Center for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:35 and determined that a water flow alarm was activated. However, there was no water to the building at the time. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 5:43 p.m.

• At 3:32 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 409 Howard St. for a downed power line. Firefighters arrived at 3:41 and found that a branch fell into communication lines. The branch was removed, and GFD went back into service at 3:47 p.m.

• At 1:47 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched for a tree in the roadway at 534 E. CR 200 North. Firefighters found it at 2:02 p.m. and removed it. GFD went back into service at 2:14 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for 12 medical assists and had three disregards during this timeframe.
