Temporary road closure coming to U.S. 36 near Morton

A temporary road closure coming to U.S. 36 just west of Morton, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced.

Beginning on or after Monday, July 22, crews will be closing U.S. 36 between County Road 600 West and CR 775 West.

During the closure, crews will be replacing a small structure in the area. Work is expected to last until late August but is weather permitting and subject to change.

The official detour around the closure is State Road 59 to State Road 236 to U.S. 231.
