FOP to host second-annual Cherries and Berries Color 5K

The Putnam County Fraternal Order of Police is hosting its second-annual Cherries and Berries Color 5K.

The run and walk is set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 at Big Walnut Sports Park.

All ages and abilities are welcome for this untimed event along a fully paved route. Take a tour around Big Walnut Sports Park and have colored powder rain down on you at various stations.

Colorful gear and costumes are welcomed. There’s no need to worry, as the color washes out if you want it to.

Participants six years old and younger are free to participate but will need to be registered if they want a shirt. Cut off for shirts is Aug. 1.

All proceeds of this event go directly to the Putnam County FOP to continue their events for families in the community for back to school and at Christmas time.
