County Jail

Three people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 6:08 a.m. Courtney R. Hoole, 34, Terre Haute, was housed at the jail on a Vigo County warrant.

Wednesday

• At 2:03 a.m. Erin E. Williams, 38, Terre Haute, was booked in on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 12:20 p.m. Kallie A. Pruitt, 31, Brazil, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department reported four incidents between last Monday morning and Thursday morning:

• At 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, GFD responded to a smoke detector activation at 1133 W. CR 75 North. Arriving at 10:25 p.m., crews determined that one of the detectors was bad and advised the homeowner to have it replaced. They returned to service at 10:39 p.m.

• At 10:48 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a dump truck with a detached and overturned bed at 950 N. Jackson St. Arriving at 11 a.m., crews cleaned up debris and hydraulic oil in the roadway. They returned to service at 11:54 a.m.

• At 8:37 a.m. Wednesday, crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with fire on Veterans Memorial Highway at Putnamville Street. Arriving at 8:43 a.m., firefighter extinguished the fire then cleaned up debris and fluids. They returned to service at 9:44 a.m.

• At 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 712 Castleton Dr. Arriving at 1:39 p.m., firefighters monitored the home, and no carbon monoxide was detected. They determined the batteries in the detector were bad and assisted in replacing them before returning to service at 2 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for nine medical assists and were disregarded en route to four other calls during this timeframe.
