Lane of westbound U.S. 40 to close temporarily near Stilesville Aug. 5

STILESVILLE -- A temporary lane closure on westbound U.S. 40, just west of Stilesville, has been announced by the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Beginning on or after Monday, Aug. 5, crews will shut down the right westbound lane on U.S. 40 between State Road 240 and State Road 75. Bridge work, including cleaning, painting and scour protection, will be taking place during this time.

Work is expected to last until October but is weather permitting and subject to change.

INDOT encourages all drivers to use caution in all work zones while buckling up and putting cellphones down.
