City Water Department to flush hydrants next week

The Greencastle Water Department will spend two — possibly three — afternoons and evenings next week flushing fire hydrants throughout the city.

Ed Phillips of the Water Department said the flushing process will run from approximatley noon through 10-11 p.m. each day on Tuesday, July 30, Wednesday, July 31 and possibly Thursday, Aug. 1.

The process will begin on the northwest corner of the city, with crews working their way to the south and east.
