Cecil Dean Pierce

Cecil Dean Pierce, 81, Putnamville, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Cecil was born on Jan. 24, 1943, in Lewisville to the late Arrow (York) Pierce and Millard Pierce.

He married his wife of 60 years, Janet Nichols, on Feb. 1, 1964.

Cecil was a local carpenter in the Putnam County area for the majority of his life. He was a devoted Christian, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Pierce; his children, Lori Malik of Arizona, Kevin (Khristina) Pierce of Dallas, Troy (Diane) Pierce of Greencastle and Mandy (Chris) Cress of Camby; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings Dale Pierce, Wanda Pierce Stevens, Barbara Pierce Bustle and Stephen B. Pierce.

In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by brothers Raymond E. Pierce, Frank A. Pierce, Leland E. Pierce, George W. Pierce, Ronald E. Pierce, Timothy A. Pierce and sister Sarah (Beanie) Pierce Collins.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bainbridge Community Building on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 2 p.m.
