Sandra Kay Allgire

Sandra Kay Allgire, 75, of Greencastle, passed away on July 22, 2024 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle.

Kay was born in Putnam County on Oct. 25, 1948. Kay was the daughter of Doris “Tommy” Gorham and Wilma “Jean” (Barnett) Gorham.

Kay married Walter D. Martin on March 3, 1968.

Parents, son John Michael Martin, first husband Walter Martin and sister Karen Jean Cooper preceded her in death.

Kay married Thomas E. Allgire on May 23, 1998. She loved to cook, garden and the summer season. Kay battled a prolonged illness to the best of her ability. She will be remembered for her determination to continue the things she loved.

Kay is survived by her husband, Tom Allgire; daughter Nancy Jenkins (Gary); sisters Kathy Winslow (Steve), Kristy Prados and Kandy Planco (Ray Roberts); stepdaughters Christina Ash and family and Amy Allgire and family; grandchildren Kevin M. Martin, Austin D. Jenkins, Jennifer A. Jenkins, Andrew M. Jenkins and Madison N. Jenkins; and her great-grandchildren, James Holland, Lily Ann Martin and Greyson Martin.

A private graveside service is planned at Stilesville Cemetery.
