Lisa Jean Kincaid, 65, of Fishers, passed away on Aug. 4, 2024.

She was born on Oct. 4, 1958, in Greencastle, to parents Robert Breese and Miriam (Cole) Breese.

In her youth Lisa was a trail blazer. As member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, she became the first in that church to be a female acolyte. In school, she was in the first class allowed to graduate as a junior from Greencastle School.

Lisa had many interests in school. She played the violin and guitar. Lisa was very active in 4-H and won several blue ribbons in cooking and sewing, and even won at the State Fair. She was in the Girl Scouts starting as a Brownie and stayed all the way through to senior Girl Scouts.

After high school, Lisa went on to earn a BA in biology and English at Denison University in 1980. At Denison she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.

After school Lisa worked for more than 40 years as an insurance loss control specialist for insurance companies. She was a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and an OSHA 10hr instructor.

But outside of work, Lisa found true joy in her family. She adored her husband, Ron, and son, Andrew. Her love and support were unwavering, and she always prioritized the well-being of her loved ones. Lisa was a frequent bridge player at the Indianapolis Bridge Center and attended multiple Indy sectional and regional games. Lisa enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and working on her family’s genealogical history.

Despite facing health challenges, Lisa remained a fighter until the very end. Her resilience inspired those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her strength and courage will be remembered by many.

Lisa is survived by her parents; her son, Andrew W. Kincaid; her sister and husband, Amy and Mike Collins; and her brother and wife, Robert and Mari Breese, and her nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kincaid, and his parents, Don and Winifred Kincaid.

A memorial gathering for Lisa will be from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, with a memorial service immediately following at 2 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
