Everett Louis Martin

Everett Louis Martin, 95, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Born February 9, 1929 in Bellmore, he was the son of Jesse O. and Era Margaret (Cunningham) Martin.

Everett was a farmer for several years and raised hogs, cattle and horses. He loved playing softball, horseshoes and basketball.

He served in the United States Army from 1955 through 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Jean Snodgrass and brothers Henry Lee Martin and Otis Max Martin.

Everett is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jackie (Cofer) Martin, they married on November 11, 1957, and sister Elsie Padgett.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
