Music Fest set Friday, Saturday

The 15th-annual Greencastle Music Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 23 and 24 on the Franklin and Indiana street sides of the Putnam County Courthouse Square.

The event will feature two nights of live music as follows:

• Friday: Gates open at 5 p.m.; The Crashers 6-8; Chris Ferrara and the Common Good 9-11.

• Saturday: Gates open at 3 p.m.; War Radio 3:30-5; Clayton Anderson 6-8:30; The Crashers 9-11.

Tickets are $10 each day or $15 for a weekend pass. They will be available at the gate or online at www.greencastlemusicfest.com.

More information on the kids’ game area, food vendors, reserved tables and the Saturday cornhole tournament is also available on the festival website.

The festival, along with setup and cleanup, will mean the closure Franklin and Indiana streets in the area from Friday morning through Sunday morning.

  • If people show up, then a success no matter what naysayers think. If they don't, then the naysayers are right.

    Let it play out and see where this falls. I am confident free flowing alcohol and good weather will be the determining factor!
