Residents invited to share stories for World Hospice and Palliative Care Day

Thursday, September 5, 2024

In advance of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day on Saturday, Oct. 12, Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association (PCHPCA) is inviting the people of Putnam County to share their stories

The purpose of World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is:

• To share the vision of increasing the availability of hospice and palliative care throughout the world; and

• To raise awareness and understanding of the needs – medical, social, practical, and spiritual – of people living with a life-limiting illness and their families.

In preparation for the day, PCHPCA is asking people who have been impacted by a life-limiting illness – either personally or by supporting a loved one – to consider contacting them at contact.us@pchpca.org to share their experiences.

The association is particularly interested in learning about needs and challenges experienced in the community as it develops its 2025-2029 strategic plan.

To learn more visit www.pchpca.org.

For information and support, contact Director Elaine Peck at contact.us@pchpca.org or 301-7614.
