Hometown Dental to offer Free Dental Friday and free food trucks

Monday, September 9, 2024

As Hometown Dental celebrates 15 years of service to Putnam County, the practice will again be offering its Free Dental Friday this Friday, Sept. 13.

Registration and signup begins at 7 a.m. in the parking lot between Arby’s and Speedway on Indianapolis Road in Greencastle.

Free Dental Friday is a free service provided to anyone 18 or older who does not currently have dental insurance. Patients will be seen on a first-come-first-served basis and may choose one of the following services — a dental cleaning, an extraction or a restorative filling. For more information, call the office at 653-4081.

In using this anniversary as a special way to say thank you to the community, in addition to Free Dental Friday, Hometown Dental has partnered with its neighbor, Heather Taylor State Farm Insurance, to offer free meals from local food trucks for their Food Truck Friday. Taylor’s team has worked hard in building Food Truck Friday, and Dr. Dennis Knuth and staff are excited to collaborate with them.

“It’s been incredible to watch this practice grow and change through the years,” Knuth said. “From the addition of Dr. Tess Funke, to our building expansion, now five years ago, we have tried to stay true to our mission to serve like family, care like professionals and deliver smiles daily. Even though we’ve grown in size, we believe those values remain central to every interaction we have and every decision we make. It has been a gift to be embraced by the community of Putnam County and we believe it is our responsibility to be compassionate and engaged community members. Free Dental Friday is one way we have the opportunity to do that.”

The occasion of 15 years also gives Knuth the chance to thank the team at the practice.

“We understand we might be biased, and there are many wonderful dental professionals out there, but we believe the team at Hometown Dental is the best,” Knuth said. “From the dedication they demonstrate to our patients day in and day out, to their commitment in going the extra mile in each interaction so every patient feels as if they are family. Simply said, our team is the reason we can say we deliver smiles daily.”

The public is invited to come by Heather Taylor State Farm and grab lunch on Friday and, while they are there, share a story and a smile.
