Main Street to share info on Downtown Development Grants

Monday, September 16, 2024

Main Street Greencastle is having a Community Information Session on Thursday, Sept. 19 to discuss the Downtown Development Grant that is administered by Main Street.

This is not a part of the Lilly Grant. Instead, it is administered by Main Street Greencastle to assist local businesses with facade upgrades. This reimbursement grant can assist with signage, facade work or windows, among other improvements.

Main Street representatives will be available from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday for a community info session to assist building owners and interested parties in the application process and to answer any questions. The session will take place in the Kiwanis Room at the Putnam County Public Library.

Contact Main Street via email Hello@Mainstreetgc.org with any questions prior to the info session.

“This is a great opportunity to continue the beautification of our already beautiful city,” Main Street Executive Director Russell Harvey said. “We’re excited to be able to work with business and building owners to offer a bit of financial relief in what we all know are difficult times.”
