Anna Mae Clark, 80, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully at 1:07 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024.

Anna was born and raised in Greencastle. She spent the majority of her adult life in Colorado, where she raised her family. She was a woman of faith and loved by many. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Plainfield.

She was married to William F. “Bill” Perry for 41 years until Bill’s passing in 2003. She then married James E. Clark, and they have been married 18 years.

She is survived by her husband, James Clark; her children, Ametra Simpson (Steve) and Rebecca Newton (Kevin); stepchildren Paul Clark (Nancy), Steve Clark (Susan) and John Clark (Kristi); her five grandchildren, Chandler Brannon, Amanda Brannon, Mary Kate Newton, Ashley Newton and Hannah Newton; great-grandchildren Bryan, Mackenzie and Sawyer; her four step-grandchildren, Leah Clark, Lindsay Clark, Devin Clark and Cassie Clark; her sisters, Barbara Sadler (Jerry) and Patricia Ottinger (Denny); nieces Courtney McWilliams (Tim), Ewan, Isla, Killian, Katie York (Mike), Kyler, Aubree and Brynlee; her brother, Robert Burks; her nieces, Tisha Silotto (Brett) Madison, Tracy Walker (Steve) and Abby; and her nephew, Caleb Waker.

She was also loved by many more extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband William F. “Bill” Perry, parents Nadene Burks and Robert Burks, grandparents Ernest Heber and Bessie Heber, sister Jane Clark and nephew Brandon Burks.

A memorial service will be held on Sept. 24 at Abundant Life Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services. There will also be a celebration of life in Colorado for family and friends at a later date.
