Monday, September 23, 2024

Putnam County residents and avid short film go-ers will get the opportunity to have the chance to have their voices heard as part of an international film festival.

The 27th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival is coming to the Putnam County Public Library Sept. 26-28 as more than 100,000 film enthusiasts in more than 500 venues across the globe will view and decide on the 10 finalists for this year’s project.

This event is free and open to the public as once attendees arrive, they’ll receive a ballot in which they will cast their vote for best film and best actor. The three-day event will be taking place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, and 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.

There will be snacks provided on the Thursday and Friday, while a free lunch, catered by Myers’ Market, will be provided on Saturday.

For more information about the festival, contact the Putnam County Library at 653-2755 or visit www.pcpl21.org.
