Laura Alice Broadstreet

Laura Alice Broadstreet, 90, of Stilesville, gained her angel wings on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.

She was born on March 11, 1934, the daughter of Ruth Nichols.

Laura was employed by PR Mallory in Greencastle for 30 years as an inventory control specialist.

She was married to Bob Broadstreet on Sept. 26, 1952.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Nichols; husband, Bob Broadstreet; brothers, Glen, Kenneth and Jim; sister Thelma Imogene; and great-granddaughter Bailey Buchanan. She had three daughters, Vicki Sutherlin (Bob) of Fillmore, Pamela Buchanan of Gladewater, Texas, and Kathy Hayden of Greencastle; five grandchildren, Matthew, Stacy, Laura, Lindsey and Dustin; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and one great-great-grandson.

Laura loved to cook, read, watch Hallmark movies, go shopping with her girlfriends and spend time with her family. Her family knows her by the nickname “Pardy,” which her brother Jim named her. She was everyone’s friend and loved by many.

Visitation will be held at Bousley Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Friday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. Pastor Karen Burkley will officiate. Burial at Stilesville Cemetery to follow.
