St. Andrew’s Church to hold blessing of animals

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church invites the community to its blessing of the animals this Sunday, Oct. 6.

The event will take place beginning at 1 p.m. at the sanctuary which is located at 520 E. Seminary St. in Greencastle. The church has plenty of room and encourages you and your pet to spread out and relax as you join the short service of 15-20 minutes. If you prefer, you may bring a photo or a collar for the blessing.

Rev. Jennifer Oldstone-Moore will bless each pet individually.

If you have pets who are timid or uncomfortable in new spaces, Rev. Jen will continue to bless animals in the Memorial Garden adjacent to the church after the service, at approximately 1:30 p.m.

All are welcome to attend this service of Thanksgiving for our pets and the joy they bring to our lives.
