Mary ‘Cheryl’ Lieske

Mary “Cheryl” (Vaughn) Lieske, age 76 of Roachdale, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1948 in Crawfordsville to the late Donald Vaughn and Betty (Biddle) West.

Cheryl graduated from New Market High School in 1966. She then went on to attend cosmetology school, working in the industry for several years. Cheryl married Bradley Scott Lieske on June 18, 1967 in Crawfordsville.

She enjoyed antiquing, cooking, reading and trips with her daughter to Las Vegas and Florida.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her daughter, Aissa Lieske. She is survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law Fred (Patty) Lieske, Karen (Brad) McCloud, Lana (John) Presslor, Charlene (Rick) Carrington and Luann (Brian) Starnes; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brad; brothers David Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn; and brother-in-law John Lieske.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Friday, Oct. 11 from 4-7 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Blakesburg Cemetery.
