Putnam County Museum to host public reception to honor Mock, introduce Lewis

In honor of where the Putnam County Museum has been and where it’s going, a Sunday, Oct. 20 reception will celebrate retired Executive Director Lisa Mock and her successor Rachel Lewis.

The public reception, set for 2-4 p.m. at the museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle, will recognize Mock’s contributions over the last 10 years.

“Lisa’s guidance and supervision of the Putnam County Museum's collection, events and exhibits are noteworthy and are held in high regard by the museum's members and patrons,” the museum board of directors noted.

The reception will also be a chance for the public to meet new Lewis, who began her position in September. 

The board of directors wants to use this as an opportunity for the public to thank Mock “for her significant contributions and leadership in managing the growth and stewardship of this important county resource,” while also “looking forward to the guidance and administration Rachel brings to the museum.”
