County Jail

Fifteen people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 8:40 p.m. Ricky Dodson, 36, Indianapolis, was booked in on an out-of-county warrant and for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

• At 4:47 p.m. Arron Cupid, 31, Booklyn, N.Y., was lodged at the jail for auto theft and possession of marijuana

• At 11:42 a.m. Robert Carter, 38, Bainbridge, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

Tuesday

• At 6 p.m. Justin Bruner, 26, Mooresville, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 3:27 p.m. Jason Bush, 46, Crawfordsville, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 9:50 a.m. Damon Asher, 31, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 8:04 p.m. Gabriel Law, 25, Greencastle, was taken into custody for battery.

Saturday

• At 10:22 p.m. Nathan Goens, 33, Greencastle, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine.

• At 12:02 p.m. Barry Brown, 63, Bloomington, was lodged at the jail on an out-of-county warrant.

• At 5:40 a.m. Destiny Reid, 28, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving with an ACE of .15 or more.

• At 2:40 a.m. Eunick Eagans, 32, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated endangering a person, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction.

Friday, Oct. 11

• At 11:12 p.m. Justin Taylor, 25, Greencastle, was booked in for domestic battery, intimidation and harassment.

• At 10:12 p.m. Akinwunmi Kolawole, 43, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated endangering a person and driving with an ACE of .15 or more.

• At 3:17 p.m. Corbin Acton, 23, Crawfordsville, was taken into custody on a writ.

• At 12:35 p.m. Lacey Bryan, 31, Brazil, was housed at the jail for theft.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department had a pair of responses Oct. 14-17.

• At 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, GFD responded to a building fire at 14 Jonathan Ln. Crews were called to assist Reelsville with a structure fire. When crews arrived on scene, the homeowner had extinguished the fire. They completed overhaul to ensure there was no extension and the fire was out. Once the fire was deemed out, crews returned to service at 2:20 p.m. 

• At 4:04 p.m. Wednesday, crews responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 113 Cassida Dr. Upon investigation, crews were unable to detect any carbon monoxide in the residence. They determined that the alarm needed to be replaced due to age. Crews returned to service at 4:14 p.m.
