Stinebrickner to discuss presidential selection process in PCPL talk

The selection process for President of the United States will be the topic of discussion by Bruce Stinebrickner, DePauw University political science professor emeritus, at Putnam County Public Library Thursday evening.

The event is set for 6-7:30 p.m. at the library.

This program will serve as a primer on the intricacies of the presidential election system, exploring key elements such as primaries, caucuses, conventions and the Electoral College. Stinebrickner, with his extensive knowledge and experience, will provide a deep dive into the mechanisms that shape America’s most significant political race.

Whether you are a political novice or a seasoned enthusiast, this event strives to offer valuable insights and a clearer understanding of the electoral process. The session will begin with a 45-minute lecture, followed by an interactive Q-and-A segment, allowing attendees to engage directly with the expert.
